Winslet, who recently picked up a Golden Globe for her role in film biopic Steve Jobs, made the startling confession last night while appearing as a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.

She was speaking about her recent reunion with former co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at various awards ceremonies and host Kimmel couldn't resist bringing up that crucial moment at the end of Titanic where
their characters end up in the freezing Atlantic.The scene has long been a subject of debate as many claim Rose could have saved Jack by forcing him to join her on the floating door rather than remain in the deadly icy water.

Responding to the suggestion Rose let her boyfriend die, Winslet admitted: "I agree.
"I think he could have actually fit on that bit of door."
