Celine Dion’s Husband René Angélil Has Died At 73

Another major death hits showbiz, as Celine Dion’s husband René Angélil succumbs to the throat cancer that has been bugging him for over a decade now.

Angélil passed away on the morning of Thursday, January 14, a statement from a rep for the family revealed. The 73 year old for several years served not only as the talented singer’s husband, but her mentor and manager as well; before the extremities of his condition curtailed his role.

“Rene Angelil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer,” the rep said in the statement
