Ex-Arsenal captain Sol Campbell will be paying a courtesy call on former Ghana Presidents John Kufuor and Jerry Rawlings when he arrives in the country to launch the 2016 Peace Cup.
Campbell is arriving in Ghana for the first time under the auspices of Primeval Media, who are putting together two friendly matches which will feature some of the world renowned players to preach peace ahead of the 2016 elections.
The event will see Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko host the World team which will feature players such as Edgar Davids, Emile Herskey, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Steve Macmanaman, Patrick Kluivert and many more.
A second game will be played in Accra where the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, will parade against the World XI team.
But Sol Campbell who will be in Accra on January 17 to launch the event will first pay courtesy calls on former Presidents Jerry Rawlings and John Kufuor.
This is the first visit of the former England international to Ghana and would be accompanied by Ghana-born Dutch star George Boateng.
