Sepp Blatter Stripped Of Honorary Degree by University Days After Receiving 8 Years Ban From Football

Sepp Blatter has been stripped of an honorary degree by De Montfort University, it has been revealed.


The university in Leicester awarded the Fifa president, 79, the honorary doctorate in Arts and Humanities in 2005 for being "forthright, visionary, ethical and, above all, professional" The citation for Blatter's honorary degree said.
The university said it formally withdrew the degree in October, but has only revealed this now.
