"My teacher misbehaved so I gave him some punches and I was sacked from the school" - Bukom Banku

Many call him a Boxer, others a Comedian; he says he is a Musician and would soon become an actor too, but one thing Braimah Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku, does not mind is his inability to get formal education.

He has disclosed that he was expelled from school because he beat his ill-mannered teacher in his first year at Junior High School.
The incident did not only bring his Junior High School education to an abrupt end, but his attempts at getting formal education too.
This is how Bukom Banku narrated the incident in an interview. [his ‘broken English’ has not been edited]:

“I went for school at Accra Royal around the James Town Police Station. But me I didn’t make it to Senior Secondary School. I was done at JHS 1. I did not continue through because I beat my teacher. My teacher misbehaved so I gave him some punches and I was sacked from the school but I don’t care because I don’t think school can do anything for me”.
