Today in History- Remembering Proff. John Evans Atta Mills, 4 Years after Passing away

On this day four years ago, the people of Ghana experienced one of those moments in our history that we wish we could have forgotten so early but cannot. On the 24th day of July 2012, news broke out of the passing away of the then First Gentleman of our land. Never had this occurred in the history of our country.
Several high profile dignitaries today (Sunday), laid wreaths on the tomb of  Atta Mills at the Asomdwee Park in Accra.
The solemn ceremony was  also graced by Ghanaians from all walks of life, who turned up to pay their respects to the late third president of the country’s fourth republic.
Professor John Evans Atta Mills was an honourable, gentle, a real stateman and a peace loving person. He will forever be remembered in our hearts. REST IN PEACE PROF
