What Yvonne Nelson and John Dumelo told Prez Mahama on His Birthday

President John Dramani Mahama turned 57 on Sunday, November 29 and there have been tonnes of birthday wishes to the first gentleman of the land.

Top on the list of personalities who have taken the time off to send a birthday message to the president are two ‘former’ friends – John Dumelo and Yvonne Nelson – who had a fallout because of the first gentleman.[Read More to see their messages]

The two had a fallout because of their views on the current power crisis (popularly called Dumsor) and a troubled economy that Ghanaians are still grappling with.
On May 16 this year, Yvonne Nelson led some celebrities, including Sarkodie and DKB, to hold a vigil – #‎dumsormuststop – aimed at putting pressure on the government to find a solution to the severe power crisis.
The peaceful procession pulled one of the biggest crowds ever seen in the country.

Yvonne Nelson via Twitter:
“Didn’t know our president was a November born. happy birthday mr president but #dumsormuststop @JDMahama… cake for you”

John Dumelo via instagram:
“Dear Mr President, I pray God grants you many years of good leadership and may you bask in the glory of The Holy Spirit. May God cause your good works to continue transforming Ghana and the African continent. We need more gentle souls like you. Happy birthday H.E. John Mahama. God bless you and God bless Ghana. Yours faithfully, John Matthew Dumelo. #BetterGhana #melomoment #wehavefaithinyou”
