Ghana's Under-17 female football team, Black Maidens, last Saturday beat Paraguay 1-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup (WWC) in Amman, Jordan.
The Maidens will now play former champions, North Korea in the quarter-finals on Thursday, after the Asians had beaten Nigeria 3-0 in their final group C game to overtake England at the top.
